minting the nickel and just like every other coin
there are quite a few variations of the nickel.
They are all worth adding to your collection.
Most people don't know
about all of the different kinds of nickels that
have been made over the years. You can still find
some great collectible nickels in circulation
today. You just have to know what to look for.
Here are the main nickel variants.
- Shield Nickel 1866-1883
- Liberty Head Nickel 1883-1912
- Buffalo Nickels also known as Indian Head
Nickels 1913-1938
- Jefferson Nickel 1938 to now
As with other American coins the different nickel
variations also have variations of themselves,
making them even more valuable than their regular
counterparts.
