Yet another rare large
cent. The 1793 Wreath cent was the second coin
produced by the US mint and it was only made during
1793. It was only produced for three months.
This coin gets it's name
from the design on the reverse where a wreath
with one bow appears. There are a few variations
of this coin. There is a version where the edge
or side of the coin is decorated with a vine and
bars and there is another style whose edge is
decorated with the letters HUNDRED. The rarest
1792 wreath cent is the " Strawberry "
variation where a strawberry leaf is above the
date. There are only four that are known to exist
and no one knows why this variation was created.
